The Word: Dichotic
Let me take this opportunity to explain this crazy word "dichotic" so we can all be very aware of what this CD set is all about. In explaining the techniques used in the creation process we can think of dichotic as simply a term stating that what you will hear in your left ear differs from what you will be hearing in your right.
Now why in the world is that so important?
Anyone who understands the term stereo knows that almost 100% of what you hear is different in each ear anyway. Though that is a very true statement, this recording technique differs in a number of ways. When listening to this recording on headphones it might interest you to know that the 2 primary tracks of my voice differ in each ear not only by when things are being said but also by their individual volume.
The 2 primary tracks are split with 80% sent to one ear and 20% to the other respectively. The secondary tracks are overlaid and offset at a lower volume. Because the secondary tracks are centered they actually gets reproduced at the same volume as the louder primary channels.
You will find that even though all 3 tracks of my voice sound exactly the same, because of the phrasing, how they are split, the multi-process enhancement effects applied to each track, and how the affirmations are composed, your brain will immediately go to work on keeping them separated for storage in its own special way of processing information.
Our brains are basically designed to be massive storage devices of rather vast amounts of information. Even information that you might think normally gets discarded is actually cataloged and stored for the entirety of your lifetime. The magic that the brain naturally performs when presented with information is what allows this particular recording technique to work so well. That is, the magic of getting information into it that it does not have the opportunity to argue with. Even information that it doesn't even know that it is hearing.
Please allow me to take a little diversion here as I have something to show you. Something that should prove to you that we can actively process in real time information that we didn't even know that we could. The next paragraph at first blush is sure to look like a bunch of jumbled words. Information that just doesn't make any sense. If you will exercise a touch of faith I am quite sure that you will not only be able to actually read the entire paragraph, but you will be able to do it with absolutely no problem - and - you probably won't have an idea of how your mind is allowing you to actually accomplish such a seemingly magical task! So if you are ready, open your mind, and your eyes, and read the following words - out loud - with the same clarity that you would while reading a normal paragraph.
Olny srmat poelpe can raed tihs.

If you are like me, then you found that exercise completely amazing. When I had first discovered this I had to show my friends. They thought for sure that I was playing a trick on them. Certainly, with the words above right here in front of you, you know that this is not a trick. The only magic taking place here is that which your mind produced all by itself. The VERY same magic, the very same processing power that you can benefit from when you utilize the special high powered scripts contained within the Allowing Success Audio CD sets.
Again, back to the word dichotic - it is very easy to get all caught up in the scientific reasons as to why these powerful techniques work for you but personally, I believe the simpler the explanation the better.
Let me ask you something. Have you ever heard someone say something that you were absolutely sure that there is no possible way that you could have known about what was being said? And yet, somehow you did?
By some unknown reason the information not only sounded familiar but it came to you with hardly any effort of trying to recall it. It was simply instantly available to your conscious mind. How in the world could such a thing possibly happen - and yet it does to millions of us every single day.
Now think back - have ever been in a place where background noise is taking place? I know that is a silly question but play along with me for a moment. Perhaps you have been in a class room where a church group or some other organization is about to hold a meeting or in an office at work before or after a meeting has been called to order? How about shopping centers where other people are talking, or even in your own home where the TV is playing in the background even though you are not really paying attention to it?
Life is filled with background noise and almost everyone of us can answer "Yes" to each of those examples. Our lives contain so much background noise that when there is a lack of it, or things are noticeably quiet, we sometimes feel that something is missing.
I think we can both agree that we pretty much run into background noise most everywhere we find ourselves. Personally, I have to make an effort to get away from it as it seems to have permeated every aspect of what I identify as my life.
What this CD, and the others that we have created under the dichotic recording technique do, is basically empower you to take an active role in selecting back ground information that you can actually benefit from verses leaving it up to the randomness of everyday life.
I began to explain a few moments ago as to why you seem to know certain things when you don't recall ever having heard them in the first place. Think about that ever popular human pastime of eaves dropping. Of course you or I would never consider participating in such unscrupulous activity, but accidentally from time to time I am sure that you may have consciously heard a name here and there. Or perhaps what the folks at the table next to you decided to order. For that matter, it might have even been a little stock tip that someone was sharing in low tones at some coffee shop.
All I am trying to do is get you to think about all of that noise - all of that information flying around - whether you decide to actually tune into it or not. My point is this: Most of your brain is wired to be a recording device. It is really hard for most folks to believe what I am about to say next because of the agony we feel when we are trying to remember something, but our brains, when we leave them alone long enough to accomplish what they seem designed to do, remember vast amounts of information quite effortlessly.
And, here is the important part of why I am telling you all of this: The things that they remember they do so with no regard to whether or not we actually tried to remember the information in question - or even if we were aware of that information having been recorded in the first place! That is a huge statement!
Now if you were like me when I first heard this, you are probably asking how can this be? How can my brain record something and I am not aware of? You already know that information gets into you through your 5 senses.
Throughout the day your eyes and ears deliver more to your brain than the other senses do. That said, how could something have "snuck" into your memory with you having no conscious recollection of ever having heard a particular word, or phrase, or even an entire story?
The answer is surprisingly simple!
Think of your mind as a machine that is made up of a vast room and a guard standing in front of the only doorway in or out of that room. Of course the complexities of what we understand to be the most powerful computing device sitting about a half inch behind our skulls is far too vast and complex to seriously reduce down to just saying that it is made up of a really big room with a guard standing in front it - but I am simply trying to paint a picture that is easy to grasp.
By getting this picture within our internal field of view we can get a surprisingly accurate understanding of how information gets into our heads in the first place.
Now imagine yourself as the guard standing in front of the entrance way to that vast room I was describing before. In order to get things stored correctly in the room the information typically has to get tagged by you! Though, in essence, you are the gate keeper, it's more accurate to think of yourself as an opinion touting security guard. Not a guard that can actually keep out information - but one that labels the information coming through.
For instance, if I come up to you and tell you that you are wearing a hot-pink sweater, you will take that information, the statement I just made about what you are wearing, apply your opinion to it such as the fact that you are not wearing a hot pink sweater - that you perhaps have never even had one on before in your life. At this point, you might even toss in a few little emotional tie-ins on how crazy I am for trying to suggest such an obviously incorrect statement to you in the first place.
The point here is that you are the guard in front of the door that the information has to pass through in order to get into your memory and, under normal conditions, the information does not get to get in without you passing your opinion or judgment on it. This happens so fast and so often that it is difficult to imagine a time that it doesn't take place!
When someone shares with you their opinion about what a beautiful day it is, or how good a particular type of food is, or their favorite movie or song. Perhaps they share with you what they feel about a common friend you have between the two of you. All of these things get stored for later recall but only after you have attached your opinion to the various pieces of information.
Everything that you hear, see or touch. Everything that you taste or smell, as a result of your desire to identify the world around you, goes through a labeling process that is directly linked with an emotion.
This certainly serves a great deal of purposes and is extremely useful for the most part, but, as you can imagine, it has a tendency to really get in the way when we are trying to put positive statements into our memory to draw upon as part of redefining how we perceive our lives.
Imagine that I call you up one day and tell you that because of everything that you have done in your past you have been voted the most flawless person on the planet. Now, unless you have lived a truly enlightened life since birth, or you have a self-centered ego the size of a small moon, chances are you have probably done a little something here and there in your past that you are not too proud of and therefore, as you go to store what I just called to tell you into your memory, along with my statement you also store the fact that...
A) - you simply do not believe what I have said and...
B) - with that you may even include some of the specific reasons why.
Sadly, this process only serves to compound the negative information that is already part of your informational data bank. When we hear positive information that we do not believe about ourselves the reasons why we don't believe what we are hearing continues to re-surface over and over again only to result in exactly the opposite effect that we were hoping to take place.
Instead of the positive statements that are designed to make us feel good about ourselves having a positive effect on us, when we exercise the fact that we do not believe them they actually end up doing more harm than good. Certainly not our goal here, now is it?
But here is the good news. Though our minds, amongst many other things, are truly wonderful recording devices, they seem to have a semi-limitation on the level of conscious attention. That is, they seem to only be able to focus on one thing at a time.
One voice. One song. One topic of conversation. And so on.
Now that is not to suggest that we can't follow many levels of activity within any one of these things. Certainly we do. Following the rhythm of a song while singing the words is akin to staying between the proper lines on the road while driving, yet being aware of what other vehicles around you are doing.
The semi-limitation on the level of conscious attention that I am talking about takes place on the micro level. Very quickly from one moment to the next. These very small gaps that exist from moment to moment as we jump from one conscious moment of awareness to another offer very brief splices of time where the things that we are not quite listening to, even things that we are not even aware of that are being said just out of "conscious" ear-shot, can slip in completely by-passing the opinion offering guard in front of the doorway.
The information that makes it past that guard without being noticed is the key to this entire process. It is that opportunity that the contents of this CD set is designed to utilize offering tremendously empowering statements to be recorded by your brain so that it can make these very same statements available for you to draw upon from the data storage area in your mind for the rest of your life.
The information that 'sneaks' in has the unique opportunity to be 'recorded' WITHOUT OPINION! Upon being recalled the un-tainted information is simply subconsciously accepted as fact! What a powerful opportunity to truly take an active role in re-programming your mind for the better!
You have heard the old statement that our minds are like a computer : Garbage In - Garbage Out!
Well, now you know why. Just remember that the opposite is also true : Good Stuff In - Good Stuff Out!
hank you for this opportunity to serve you and I truly wish you all the best along your path to success! Not knowing what the future might hold, I ask that you keep us in mind as you start to explore the newfound opportunities that life surely has to offer you. We never want to close ourselves off to the possibilities that new partnerships might bring!
In closing, in various interviews on the webcast radio program, BeyondTheOrdinary.Net I mentioned 8 very powerful words that I have used as sort of a mantra over the years. These 8 words have special meaning to me as they carry with them tremendous positive vibration producing frequencies that, I believe, have literally changed my life. Those words, in the order that I say them to myself, are: Powerful, Positive, Ongoing, Successful, Tremendous, Awesome, Wonderful, Creative. As I say on the BTO programs, the process is simple. Say them to the point of making them your self definition. If you aren't real careful they will ending up helping you to change your life forever!
Sincerely and without hesitation,
Max Laing, D. MP
